You will work closely with our Technical Director and Design Manager at a senior level.
You will lead, manage and develop projects from concept to completion. You will provide design and construction input in producing drawings for bespoke house-types along with adapting and producing standard house-type working drawings in accordance with our exceptional standards.
You will liaise with structural engineers and other third party consultants relating to working drawing matters. Co-ordinate and assist with discharging of all associated planning conditions and building control conditions. Assist and check Consultants drawings as required against latest Building Regulations, LABC and company standards for compliance. Provide feedback, comments, alternative designs as necessary. Prepare and submit application for LABC/NHBC building warranty for new dwellings as necessary.
Use our online Project Management Software PROCORE (training will be given if unfamiliar).
Have strong autoCAD skills with over 10 years’ experience in a similar role. You will act as a mentor to those who are juniors in the company.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Minimum 10 years experience in a Technical / Design Dept. with a housing developer is essential.
· Thorough knowledge and awareness of latest Building Regulations and LABC / NHBC Technical standards.
· Minimum HNC in construction or related subject.
· Ability to use AutoCAD 2022 and Revit.
· Computer / IT literate with ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher.
